2025-26 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.

Was very lucky to jump up to #1. It was an interesting draft to have the top spot. I texted about half the league to get their input on how they ranked the top guys. It was somehow also the first time I'd ever scouted which is just a product of me always be RP broke so that was fun. I scouted Ament, AJ, and Peterson and the results didn't make the right pick anymore obvious. Figured I'd roll the dice on Peterson and hope his handles progress enough to be a great PG and that he actually does have more potential than it appears. We shall see. A lot of profiles to look through which was fun. Excited for this era of SLN where we don't really know the players.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?

Still another day of FA left so hopefully can pick up another piece but am happy to have brought in LeBron. Hopefully he doesn't decline too much in TC without Bronny. Figured I'd toss him a long deal with the hope he doesn't Dikembe with it.

I'm looking forward to seeing some young guys get serious minutes like ROTY Danny Wolf and Darryn Peterson. Hopefully can win some games and not give up a super high lottery pick in what I think will be a kind of weak west?

3. Thoughts on TC?

Everyone is getting a handles camp. So I'm not expecting anything too crazy in terms of ratings jumps but with a lot of young guys, definitely have a lot too watch there. Very excited/nervous!

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks. Not gonna bet against the champs bringing back their whole core
Central: Raptors. A young Wemby and Amen + Jokic.
Midwest: Spurs I think. Nuggets or Rockets wouldn't surprise me either.
Pacific: Kings. Jesse is good at this

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?

I think there an Israeli ROTY in Danny Wolf would be a huge draw in LA. I like Ari Gold representing him courtside.

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!

USA
C: Darius Bazley
PF: Jonathan Isaac
SF: Miles Turner
SG: Kawhi Leonard
PG: Markelle Fultz

World:
C: Wemby
PF: Sabonis
SF: Semi (does he claim Nigeria?)
SG: Jamal Murray
PG: Luka

Can probably put together a better USA team but I just liked mine. I think the World team might be slightly better though)

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?

Fultz #1, Slava Medvedenko #2. It was a really good feeling taking a chance on Fultz and having him pop into a star. His box scores are so fun. Also, Allan Houston in his peak was pretty damn nasty too.

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!

Goddamn you're making me think too hard with these questions. I'll try to come back with this one.

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).

Cubs are nice! Not really a pay attention to baseball before August guy though so mainly keeping tabs on scores and stats for now. Just excited for the NBA offseason in general which is apparently supposed to be crazy?

Not much to talk about at this time of year. Ready for Caitlin Clark to get healthy.

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.

Watched Sinners. Loved it. The Jon Hamm show was great. Watched a couple episodes of The Studio. Think it's eh so far. Don't really love Seth Rogen the way everyone else seems to. Watched like 5 episode of The Four Seasons last night. Just ok imo. Kind of stopped watching Last of Us a couple episodes ago. Nothing that I'm super enthused by atm in this life aside from golf and tennis.

2025-26 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.

Hard to say with these new classes, but thought there were kinda 4 guys at the top and then the next 8 or so could go in almost any order. I had Evans as my 7th or 8th pick so was happy to get him at 9 and send him down with the Sorry Kid (hopefully he was the right guy for this!). Liked Haralson as well, wouldn't have minded snagging him or Koa peat. Later in the draft, I think Tugler is going to be cool, as is Brady Koehler.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?

I guess we didn't lose anyone in FA which was nice, but would have loved if someone had been down to S&T with me. Our goals for the season are going to depend on how camps go - if the lads are looking good we might try to make some moves, if things don't go as well we might sell. The East is such a bloodbath it's hard to be motivated to push a ton of short term chips in.

3. Thoughts on TC?

Going to need big moves from all 4 of our stud youngsters! Would love to see a big pop from Evans in particular, as the Sorry Kid is such a powerful tool I'd like to see us get the most out of it. With no knowledge of how strong or weak future drafts are going to be in the 7-10 range (or any idea when I'm going to pick there next) I figured now was as good a time as any. Reed is our #1 priority, would love to see him get to A outside or A defense.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks. Still can't believe they got Kyrie that cheap. Glad he's retiring soon
Central: Raptors. All the young guys seem to be heading in the right direction
Midwest: Spurs. No one else seems to be improving this offseason
Pacific: Kings. Until anyone does stuff in this division

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?

Bill Burr

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!

Kyrie
Oubre
Turner
Isaac
AD

Luka
Murray
Rui
Porzingis
Wemby

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?

The obvious answer was Jeff Mcinnis, as I'd never seen an FBB PG block 1.5 shots a game...but TMac is up there. Best solo defender I ever had! So dominant in the playoffs against prime lebron and Melo.

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!

Some sort of RP generation - like every time he gets a triple double his GM gets 50RP in "jersey sales"

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).

Still sad about the Celtics and the prospect of the band breaking up. Excited for the Patriots if Diggs can stay away from the tuci during the season

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.

The new season of the Rehearsal is truly brilliant

2025-26 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
the top of the draft seemed absolutely loaded with guys, loved how the board fell. i was honestly happy with who i picked but when playing games with jwoo he said it was "a horrendous pick" so that was very chill. idk man a big who takes care of the ball and shoots very efficiently seems interesting to me.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
very happy, i decimated my roster to a collection of shooting guards and very little of anything else, we should be in a good spot to get top odds in this upcoming draft, may need to move another guy or 2

3. Thoughts on TC?
was pretty meh tbh, almost everyone stayed around the same with some inside and outside +1s but nothing special from any of the young guys

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks, kyrie, turner, green is an insane 123
Central: Raptors, solid roster with a bunch of stars. wemby getting better and theyll have joker all year
Midwest: probably rockets, its a soft division
Pacific: Kangs, idk jesse is always good

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?
if were going fictional id love baby groot to be the center stage of SLN lakers

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!
USA: Kyrie / Lavine / AG / Turner / AD
World: Luka / Murray / Rui/ Wemby / Jokic

both these teams are absolutely stacked but id go with world by a little

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?
DeAaron Fox i think, hes a stud now and was the centerpiece in my deal for kyrie, happy to see him grow for tong

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!
Something involving a player who has no position to start and you can assign them to any position. basically this guy would have 5 different profiles for each position and its a choose your own adventure.

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
bears doing things, cubs smoking the field, arsenal is always major sadness, hawks stink, psu had a good class this year

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
been rewatching Marvel movies specifically agents of shield and forgot how much i liked it

Bonus: add a pic/gif of how you feel about your season

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
i couldnt name a single person in the darft, who was drafted. I guess the only guy i even know of it D. "tyler" Petersuns. Hes bound to be a goat, like his father is.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?

i havent felt anything in a month. Goals are to maintain a pulse. maybe flip Brunson and Lavine.

3. Thoughts on TC?

Whitmore is way better than Holland. Fun to see Castle pop too! everyone else held the line like champs.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks - kyrie and turner
Central: Bulls - Luka
Midwest: - Spurs - MemeLorde
Pacific: Sonicks - but probably the kings.

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?

ESPN draft reporter Jeremy Woo because he is way too dedicated to the gig.

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!

The world would win. America is not so great of late.

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?
Dirk. Hes the offensive goat. posted an unattainable 40ppg and won me 3 rings.

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!

Peaked in highschool - dude comes out with zero potential and is the most SLN ready player ever. He is fucking yoked but he will only be in the league like half a decade. will retire somepoint during the rookie max.

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).

Dull drums of sports besides my Thunder. Hope they can win the crown and get Sam presti his laurels. chiefs gonna win the west again. US open next week! go scottie!

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Expedition 33 (game). Warfare (movie). Friendly Reaper (Depression)

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Was super excited to get Philon and YANG. Think they're both going to be good. Darryn Peterson is going to be amazing. I think Haralson on Utah is going to be awesome too.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
This offseason I was either going to trade for my pick back and downshift or go in again. The price to get my pick back was irrationally absurd so I'm competing this year. Goal is to make my pick as worthless as possible.

3. Thoughts on TC?
Great TC in Indy! Jump from LABARON was the biggest thing. All the young guys went up and the old heads (Fox and Drummond) stayed steady. Couldn't ask for more.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks, same killer squad
Central: Always PACERS
Midwest: Spurs, o/u 54 wins?
Pacific: Gimme the Suns

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?
I don't think I can name a single famous person from Indiana. Michael Jackson?

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!
I'm going to approach this as - how many good players am I certain are or aren't from the US

Kyrie / Jaylen Brown / Myles Turner / Drummond / AD
Doncic / Murray / Porzingis / Giannis / Embiid

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?
DRUMMOND!!!! EASY!!!!

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!
Damn IDK. This is not my strength

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
Spurs are Europa champs eat it

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Mobland is a must watch

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Looked like a really good draft but decided to skip it to save cap space for FA. was a mistake.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Another sub-optimal offseason given bad lotto and FA luck. But feel ok about the trades I made and will avoid the tanking penalty

3. Thoughts on TC?
kelel is going to be superman. will see how the nurple does

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: knicks
Central: bulls
Midwest: spurs
Pacific: suns

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?
the only options are seth rogen and ryan reynolds. i could see ryan reynolds using this as a marketing opportunity

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!
i like tong's answer here

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?
dwyane wade. he was my best player

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!
JS growth based on minutes played in rookie season

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
sinner (not sinners, haven't seen it yet) is awesome. plays djokovic tomorrow

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.
Thought AJ and Peterson were the top 2 with Peterson ahead by a hair. Sold my pick for cheap because I thought I'd need the extra money to resign LeBron and a MLE. That was a mistake

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Happy to get Dort on an MLE. Hoping he can be at least a league average SF but may need to upgrade that position.

3. Thoughts on TC?
Nothing too exciting. Maxey and Vanderbilt got better at defense, Skal better at rebounding. Ants handles went down so hopefully less TOs.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Knicks, Kyrie and Turner is an above average core
Central: Raptors, Wemby may be a problem
Midwest: Rockets, solid started as every position all with good defense
Pacific: Kings, Jesse can smell a weak West again and will churn through about 27 players until he finds the right combo

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?
Mia Khalifa is very into AD's unibrow

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!

Kyrie
Ant
Turner
Isaac
AD

Luka
Shai
Porzingis
Rui
Wemby

USA wins

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?
Ant because he brought us a championship

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!
Every draft profile gets the stip "27 club" then one of them retires at age 27.

9. Thoughts on your real life sports team(s).
Wiz can't even do lotto tanking right, ready for more Jayden Daniels

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Got to grand master in rivals yesterday, that was fun

2025-26 Offseason Questionnaire

1. Draft thoughts? Sleepers, busts, your draft, other drafts, whatever.

Thought the top 4 was loaded. Liked the Kings picks of Koa Peat and Toppin. Nate Ament might be the best player from this draft when it’s all said and done but Peterson looks insane too. I was happy to get two decent dart throws in the mid 20’s in Williams and Stirtz.

2. How do you feel about your offseason, and what are your goals for this coming season?
Offseason wasn’t amazing losing Simmons but he was our primary stock guy on a team with very few stocks so it forced our hand to pivot to outside. Happy to get the Robinsons from Sacramento on such cheap deals but I’ll miss Bag Man for sure.

3. Thoughts on TC?
Our TC was poopy. No change from Cooper 🇫🇷 or Harper.

4. Who wins each division and why?

Atlantic: Magic with a full year of Murray and Scoot.
Central: Raptors are my favorites to win but if the Bulls can make a move or two to add depth, I think they’ll be right there.
Midwest: I’ll go with the Rockets until the Spurs sim but I think this division will come down to injury luck. Nuggets aren’t to be slept on after their playoff run either.
Pacific: I’ll bet on myself as we go for 5 division titles in 6 years, despite the rest of the league going Kings.

5. Much has been made about Timothee Chalamet becoming the new Spike Lee for the Knicks. In the SLN universe, who would be the celebrity superfan that sits courtside at all your games and why?
Our superfan would be Sydney Sweeney and she’d be rocking low cut tops to distract the enemies every game.

6. Draft a starting 5 of the best American players in SLN, and a starting 5 from "Rest of the World." Who would win? SLN production only!
World:
C - Jokic
PF - Wemby
SF - The finnish prospect in draft profiles
SG - feet Krejic
PG - Luka

USA
C - Isaac
PF - KAT
SF - Durant
SG - Kawhi
PG - Fultz

7. Who's your favorite player you ever drafted and why?
Tom Gugliotta — sniped this god in the 4th round of the creation draft. Ashes liked my draft post, he didn’t like a single other post. I knew it was going to be fireworks off rip. I texted Kipke in jubilation.
Jamario Moon is a close second. Loved that guy and his stip. you see that segue into the next question?

8. Come up with a creative stip concept for a player - maybe Ashes will be inspired to include them in future drafts!
A player who you can camp by removing passing and there is no limit (so you could super camp -26 passing) if you wanted to. Maybe make him really good at everything besides TOs or something.

thoughts on on real life sports team(s).
Royals are hot and cold but we just called up this power hitter Caglianone who should give our offense a much needed spark. Finally over the Super Bowl ass kicking and ready for some football!!!

10. Movies, TV, books, games, whatever recommendations.
Love island new season dropped Tuesday with a new episode coming out every night so consider me locked. I just watched Naruto on Netflix for the first time and it’s a life altering show. Legit inspires me to fight for good everyday.
