Team Awards 2024-25
Posting these up with Joe in transit.
TL;DR - free RPs for a quick post!
Get these done before the tip of next season!
Every year, every GM's got his studs and it's duds, his craftiest moves and most embarrassing flops. For 75RPs, fill out the answers to the following questions and post it in the thread - think of these as your post-season Dundies, awarding each of the first 4 to players on your team, and then reflect on some of the key moments from your year. Post these whenever! Just get em done before sim 1. Offseason questionnaire will be posted later on.
Once you've posted, DO NOT claim your RP in the RP thread - we will calculate at the end.

TEAM AWARDS
MOST VALUABLE PLAYER:
Rui Hachimura. He's a freaking beast and spearheaded the Magic to a franchise record in wins
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Cory Joseph. Not the stockiest but dude lowkey locked up a lot of PGs
MOST IMPROVED:
Denzel Valentine. 2nd overall in TS%. Above average boards. Lows in turnovers
SIXTH MAN:
Rui Hachimura. SLN 6MOTY aka Clack of the Year
BIGGEST SURPRISE:
Winning 61 games, thought we would be just fine waiting for Scoot, ended up real good
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
Pulling Scott Foster twice in the finals
TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR:
Denzel Valentine for free was pretty nice
REGRETS:
Maybe not supersubbing Rui in game 7?

Team Awards 2024-25
MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Devin Booker. Nobody else could score good and Devin is criminally underrated
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Isaiah Jackson, maybe should have won DPOY anyway
MOST IMPROVED: Jose Alvarado, he emerged and was a useful starter which I was not expecting
SIXTH MAN: Scottie Barnes, fuck you dog
BIGGEST SURPRISE: Making the playoffs by tiebreaker after a big late season push
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Wemby, Jose etc missing time to injuries which really slowed us down after a great start.
TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Brandon Clarke, this guy ended up being really useful
REGRETS: None really, maybe not trading Scottie away before he left us but it’ll be fine

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Anthony Davis. He's a top 5 players in the league. Had career bests in FG%, FT%, and rebounds last season.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Anthony Davis. See above. 4.5 stocks per game and only lost DPOY cause he missed 10 games.
MOST IMPROVED: Anthony Edwards. His efficiency took a huge jump last season, going from 45/42 the year before to 49/46. Scoring volume ticked up over 3ppg because of it.
SIXTH MAN: Austin Reaves. Quite the bucket as a 1/2 backup. Blistering splits at 49/48. Handles appeared to have improved from the year prior because his TOs while playing the 1 weren't an issue.
BIGGEST SURPRISE: Losing to the Bulls in the first round. Unlucky draw to get them in the 1st round at the 3v6 seed matchup. Did well going up 2-1 after the first sim. Then Luka went bonkers and dropped 50 on us a few times to knock us out in 6. Thought we had a very good team.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: KD cracking his skull and missing 50+ days. Had to pivot from a value trade for KD to having to pay a little to get off him.
TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: LeBron James. The King still has plenty of juice left in the tank. Great at the 3 and excited to see what he can do at the 1 in Pre#2
REGRETS: Not MLE extending Skal last year but luckily got him back on a similar deal.

TEAM AWARDS
MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Tobias Harris. Kidding, the most valuable player on the roster was Gradey Dick from a prospect stand point but it was probably the worst roster ive ever assembled.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Anthony black, not much defense to speak of last season but he did about 2 steals for most of the year as a 20 year old.
MOST IMPROVED: Anthony black who didnt event shoot iver 40% so that should tell you everything.
SIXTH MAN: I guess Jaden Ivey
BIGGEST SURPRISE: Anthony Blacks outside attempts and volume, it honestly wasnt bad.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: I guess not trading some of my other guys for value like Collins Adams and Valentine.
TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Sending Mitchell Robinson out for 3 of my picks back.
REGRETS: You all should regret not trading for tobias harris

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: couldn’t even tell you who ny leading scorer was, I’ll go with Ausar cuz he did a little of everything though not efficient yet
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Siakam due to his A rating
MOST IMPROVED: Franz - he had a nice little pop
SIXTH MAN: sexton - that boy scores efficiently
BIGGEST SURPRISE: our hot start, garland was cooking
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: not only not jumping in the lotto but having the team right before and right after me jump in the lotto was a real sting
TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: garland for Pippen Jr and Sharpe - garland is super nice but I felt those two prospects were interesting and Sharpe is still showing a B pot
REGRETS: not trading Strus before TC, had some juicy offers but I was hesitant on a work trip over thinking everything
