NOTES

• Rebounding Advantage is calculated against the average rebounds per 36 of all players in that position in that year. For the 22-23 season, the average was 4.87 for PGs, 5.58 for SGs, 7.58 for SFs, 11.29 for PF, and 12.03 for C. In general, Rebounding Advantage is getting less useful over time as more and more players play out of position.
• The general theory is that you either want players who get you a lot of possessions or players who use a lot of possessions efficiently. That generally has applied to big men doing the former and PG/SG/SF doing the latter, but there are more and more efficient big men (Jokic, Embiid) and possession-winning wings (Thybulle) as well.
• Possession usage and efficiency generally tend to be correlated (that is, players who shoot a lot tend to shoot better). The outliers are:
  • Shoot a lot but not very efficiently: Zion
  • Shoot efficiently but not enough: Ryan Anderson, Jeremy Lamb, Luke Kennard
  
• There are very few players who both use a lot of possessions AND get you a strong possession advantage. The outliers are: Luka, Kyrie, Durant, Porzingis, Semi, Gordon (though Gordon is much less of an outlier when played at PF)
