Bored on a Train - Resignings Recap - East edition

Post by mantypas/CavsCzar »

I am on a train and I decided to pull a Merv(a Jwoo too in a way) and spend this time to farm RP. I’m going thru every team to determine the most team friendly resigning offers, the greediest resigning offers, and the most crucial non-resigned player. Lets go.

Boston Celtics -
Team friendly - Kevin Looney - 1 year vet min. This dude is good, but I guess he got paid for life and said I love Boston

Greediest - Mike Conley - 1 year 3.78 mil. I was between this and Saddiq Bey at a similar number but escalating for three years. The big difference is Saddiq is 24 with potential to get better , especially if given an opportunity (only played 5 games). Conley is 36 and will get maybe an LLE in the open market

Most crucial - Looney - stock to TO lord stays cheap and keeps the fun stocky front court intact

Miami Heat
Team friendly - Killian Hayes - 3 year 4.462 mil escalating. Breaking out from the NDL, Killian fit this team like a glove and will be keeping his talents in south beach

Greediest - Dame Lilliard - 10..117 mil, 2 years with an escalation. He’s too one sided of a player with major TO problems to be worth this much

Crucial - James Harden - 15.92 mil escalating for 4 years. Scoops made the big swing to get him and Boucher at the beginning of the season so you gotta hold down one. Retaining the former MVP is huge

New Jersey Nets
Coby White was the only one to offer to resign, at a vet min nonetheless. Steven said get that shit outta here I’d rather have the cap space. Don’t really blame him, them some poopoo ratings

New York Knicks
Team friendly - John Henson - 1 year vet min. He’s a good big butt, and humble.

Greediest - Julius Randle - 13.75 mil escalating for 3 years. Was maybe worth that 5 seasons ago, not anymore.

Crucial - Daniel Gafford - 5 mil for 4 years escalating to like 6.1 mil. Locking up a young big who is improving seems to be a good deal for Nav, let’s see if he takes it.

Orlando Magic
Team Friendly - Sam Hauser - 1 year vet min. Young role player at a sub lil deal is nice.

Greediest - Dejounte Murray - 2 year 7.1 mil escalating. Seems more like an MLE guy.

Crucial - Dalano Banton - 2.886 mil 2 years escalating. The new starting PG in Orlando stays in the magic city, good fit for the age of this crew.

Philadelphia 76ers
Team Friendly - Derrick White ? He hasn’t shown much , but 3 mil on a one year deal seems fair, someone play him at PG, I want to see what he can do there.

Greediest - Wenyen Gabriel, 2 years 2.8 mil escalating. He isn’t very good, a vet min guy.

Crucial - Jalen Smith? Former first rounder resigning for a team friendly 2.2 mil 2 years escalating deal seems encouraging, he’s still showing a B pot, I’d resign him

Washington Bullets
Only two resignings for Ant Edwards (sub rookie max) and KD (15 mil escalating). Id call both super team friendly and crucial, especially with the price paid for KD (Winslow, that Jazz pick, etc).

Atlanta Hawks
Three resigning offers. A couple scrubs likely to be declined (Skylar Mays (WHO) and Jarrett Culver) and Jusuf Nurkic, solid, but very greedy resigning offer to be declined (14.939 mil escalating to 19.5 mil in year 4 of the deal)

Charlotte Hornets
Team Friendly - Lou Williams- 4.85 mil escalating for 3 years. What a slam dunk deal if he doesn’t retire. Still an absolute stud somehow

That’s the only resigning offers, Jburns will look to retain Kazemi

Chicago Bulls
2 resigning offers. A declined franky smokes offer for 3 mil for 2 years (greedy) and an accepted Nerlens for 14.47 mil for two years (not the most team friendly but crucial for this team to stay stocky AF).

Cleveland Cavaliers
Team friendly - Xavier Tillman Jr - 1 year 2 mil deal. Stock positive guy , he gets steals as a big and I like that. He’s staying in the LAND.

Greediest - Gary Harris Jr - 12 mil escalating to 14 mil in year 3. He’s solid, maybe an MLE candidate if you need a backup 1-2 but he is not getting paid that by anyone in this economy. Shoutout to Boogie also being greedy asking for 10.8 mil as a 33 year old

Crucial - retaining Deni and X. We like to stay young and hope for positive TCs for these former first rounders

Detroit Pistons
Team Friendly - Isiah Todd? 1 year vet min. He was solid in the NDL, I’d give him a shot

Greediest - Jonas - 9 mil escalating to 10.8 mil. He’s solid, but he’s an MLE candidate

Crucial - I’d say the most crucial was the no resign from Indy’s finest Tyrese Halliburton, making RB use the RFA tag and potentially leaving Cade non-RFA-able (that a word?)

Indiana Pacers -
Team friendly - Spencer Hawes - 1 year vet min. If he don’t retire, solid vet min here, still gets blocks somehow. Former 2k legend

Greediest - Rokus Jacubaitus- 2 years 1.5 mil, escalating. This guy is a vet min candidate. WHO?

Crucial - Patrick Williams 4.392 mil 3 years escalating. One of the big young prizes in the PG/Goga deal resigns for a reasonable deal. Showing A- outside , A- d and B pot is nice

Milwaukee Bucks
Team friendly - Rakeem Christmas - 1 year vet min. a solid 4th big from the SGA trade stays put

Greediest - Bradley Beal - 4.5 mil escalating for 2 years. It’s not that greedy, but idk what he’s worth at this point of his career. Great offensively but super limited minutes

Crucial - Rakeem I guess, only other resigning was Jaden McDaniels for a vet min

Toronto Raptors
Isiah Jackson and Yaro are the only too resignings, both pretty team friendly. Isiah Jackson resign is huge, he really came on as a stocky lad post NDL call up.

That was exhausting, I’ll try to do the west on my train back home . And will format all on Monday. Peace out!
