Strengths: Very good perimeter defender. Will get a ton of steals. Extremely strong. Some ability to score inside. Decent defensive rebounder.
Weaknesses: Offense is raw. Outside game is pretty rough. Handles are a bit shaky.
Scout's Take: Another talented forward in this year's class, Artest is a very strong defender who will create a lot of turnovers. It's up in the air if his offensive game can develop enough to make him a two-way star, but becoming an effective starter seems like a foregone conclusion. Teams looking for that defensive anchor on the perimeter will be excited to see Artest's name still on the board.
