MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Mike Conley! He ascended from being solid to elite last season. His efficiency ticked up both inside the arc and beyond. Led the league in FT% which was cool. He posts a 2:1 stocks to TO ratio, leading the league in steals, allergic to turning it over. 10+ assists game to make sure his teammates eat all at the ripe age of 24.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Probably Conley here but for the sake of diversity and inclusion, I will go with the Moon man. 4+ stocks is pretty wild. He is an inefficient lad but boy is he a stocky one. On the random games where Moon makes shots, his box scores are hilariously eye popping. Missed this man and glad he is back home.

MOST IMPROVED: Well everyone got worse on paper in TC. Legitimately not one person on a team with the average age of 26 improved. However, the inside camp to Conley seem to take. His efficiency ticked up and he now looks like a rich man's Devin Harris. He still has more points to give but I am a poor boi who misses inflationary times.

SIXTH MAN: JJ Redick. 22 points in 23 minutes while leading the league in FG%. JJ is wet wet. I probably should have gotten him more minutes but I loved his minutes being concentrated as a combo guard. He was legitimately perfect in that role. He still has 16 in camps but I am a broke boi who wants inflation.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: We seemed noticeably better without making a single change to our roster and a rough TC. Definitely tailed off at the end of the year but with a decent dice roll in this upcoming TC, I am optimistic for the future of this young squad!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Kevin Love going neutral in TC. His production saw an uptick but I was hoping for a bigger pop over the hood before his contract year. Still showing A potential so I am hopeful he continues to improve both under and over the hood!

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: I traded Matt Barnes for 200 RP to Mantypas and his team took off. Always root for America's team to succeed so that was fun. It was my most quiet year on the trade front... hopefully I'm not forced to touch as much grass this season and can wheel and deal!

REGRETS: No regrets actually! My goal was to be patient and not leverage myself to the tits just for the sake of doing so and I held strong!

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Devin Harris - Lots of good candidates here, but going with the player of the month here, so steady 24 PPG, leader in assists, steals, he kept the ship steady

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: KG/TD tie. KG got more steals but TD got more blocks, shoutout to Devin harris too for being a steal leader all season

MOST IMPROVED: Adam Morrison, he was a stud off the bench with his scoring efficiency and ability to get to the line

SIXTH MAN: Adam Morrison! he was amazing in limited minutes, cracked top 15 scoring per 36

BIGGEST SURPRISE: How valuable Matt Barnes could be. We acquired him to help with wing rebounding and he was an absolute stud, turned our season around

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Early season injuries, I firmly believe this team couldve cracked 50 wins

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Had to be the devin harris KG bombshell. Made my team into a bunch of winners just like that.

REGRETS: None - it was a fun year, wish we couldve beat the knicks lol
FOR THE LAND - believe!

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Kevin Durant - All-League 2nd Team, an efficient 30-10 with 3.4 stocks playing at the 4. I thought he could be effective at PF but he definitely outperformed my expectations there.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Gilbert Arenas - All-Defensive 2nd Team thanks to his career-high 3.1 SPG.

MOST IMPROVED: Ersan Ilyasova - He did 20-9 on 57% true shooting starting at SF.

SIXTH MAN: Eh...

BIGGEST SURPRISE: KD getting stocks as a big.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Anthony Morrow getting injured for most of the season, didn't get a good look at him.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Von Wafer - sike!

REGRETS: Not addressing my questionable depth.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Ak47! He was DPOY and had maybe the greatest defensive SLN season of all time. He does pretty amazing things on the defensive end when he doesn't have to worry about scoring.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: AK47 for the aforementioned response. Greatest defensive season of all time almost 6 stocks per game

MOST IMPROVED: Jrue Holiday! He made a gigantic leap but still is not at his ceiling because he had to play behind Hart. Hopefully, he will have the chance to start this season/

SIXTH MAN: Jrue Holiday! He held the line as the backup 1 and 2 guard and dominated from that position all season.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Hassan Whiteside! He hasn't popped ratings wise yet but all the under the hood ratings are there. Supercamp incoming...

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Hibbert. Kinda felt he fell off a little bit. Unusual down year compared to past.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: I think we got better after trading Crawford. I know I gave up too much value for Hart and Okur but they definitely made my team better.

REGRETS: Maybe I should've shopped Crawford a little more but not sure anyone would've traded win now players for him.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Carmelo Anthony
Don’t have to overthink this one. Not many guys are a lock to score 25+ per game with a threat to score 50 on any given night, and Melo really fit that mold. High volume efficient scoring wings are my favorite kind of player, so it has been a pleasure to see Melo in the boxes each night. HM Steph. He will win quite a few of these i think.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Tony Allen
Man, i wish they made them all like TA. This dude is a fucking pro’s pro. Just gets the job done, and absolutely locks things down on the defensive end. capable of being a stopper who i put on a stud 2 or 3, or just nice rounding out the defensive depth behind Steph and Melo who, while adorable, are somewhat challenged on the defensive end.

MOST IMPROVED: Chef Curry
When you give a real life superstar a supercamp, i feel like something must’ve gone horribly wrong if he’s not the most improved player. Steph definitely took that step forward this season. He went from 21 ppg last season to 28.5 this year with improved efficiency and raw stat output across the board

SIXTH MAN: Tony Allen
TA takes the cake again here. Backup 1-2-3, backup 2-3, and occasionally spot starting at the 2 or 3 due to injury or matchup, TA was really the ultimate utility player for us this past season. The price we paid for him felt a little expensive at the time, but given our next “Biggest Surprise” answer, he is a particularly important piece of our puzzle

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Jamison retirement
I know when a guy is 35 there’s a big risk, but come on! He was still playing full starter’s minutes, he still had awesome ratings, and he was still simming like a peach! Figured Antawn had another 2 or 3 seasons, but always knew there was a risk he’d retire with the expiring deal. Big bummer—wish we’d had more time together!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Losing in 6 after going up 2-1 in Round 1
There isn’t really a bigger dick kick in SLN than going up 2-1, then logging back on to see that the R2 DC’s post is up. It’s like fuck yeah, there were no Game 7’s, and surely if i didn’t win the series after going up 2-1, the series would’ve gone to 7! Nope. Not at all actually. I’ll just go fuck myself.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Antawn Jamison for exp + my first (pick 21)
Parting is such sweet sorrow! Jamison was one of our top FA targets last offseason with our own space, so to nab Perkins and then line up a trade for Jami was beautiful.

REGRETS: Punting so many small contract decisions with cap space last offseason
If i had taken like 20-30 more minutes last offseason to more carefully construct the cap in deals such that I wouldn’t have to buyout some ugly 2-year first round rookie contracts, I’d have like ~$4m in free money right now. It’s not a huge deal, but it would’ve allowed me to lever up one more bird+max type guy vs just having that intermediate size hole in my roster. Oh well.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: That i still suck at golf. also that i didnt do MORE trades. also that i traded Dirk :(

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Getting PJ for a first and confusing Joe.

REGRETS: I didnt practice my breathing and tempo on the course today. and trading dirk. Also regret that DC#2 in the rd 2.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Russell Westbrook - Russ had his best year yet and still a ton of room for growth. His efficiency could improve even more, but getting 23+ as a non option most of the year and seemed to come on strong late when he was made a 2 and 3 option. Can’t replicate 8 boards at the 1, unless Lebron. Speaking of… Russ is kinda the Lebron stopper. Ask Dmo.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: KMart - Another thing that’s near impostor replicate is 4:1 stocks to turnovers. Kmart had it last year. Not sure he will be as good next year at 35 so enjoy your Hawks DPOY.

MOST IMPROVED: Tyreke Evans - Definitely most improved and arguable my best player. Here’s to praying he resigns next season - otherwise i’ll be due for a xanax prescription come FA day 1.

SIXTH MAN: JR Smith - JR was a beast for me. he was average 19+ with even stock to turnover in the early part of the year as the backup 1-3. Wish i could’ve gotten more for him but it is what it is.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: That i couldn’t get 300rp for Varejao. Unreal. This market is unreal.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Myself. Why did i trade gortitties?!

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: WILSON!! Im back on the Chandler Train. Give me a good TC and some fry handling.

REGRETS: Trading gortitties for guys i can’t camp. wtf heimer you idiot.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Super Cool Beas. Moved from fun, kinda weird shaped imperfect guy to more classically shaped star this year getting his turnovers way down. Love the way he's shaping up!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Kwame Brown. Complete monster defensively, definitely was solo responsible for like 8 of our wins this year, extremely annoying. But glad to have him while we're trying to win again!

MOST IMPROVED: Beas! As I mentioned above, his line looks a whole lot better without 3 TOs in it.

SIXTH MAN: Marcus Thornton. Very fun guy, 18 pp36, 46/40 shooting, and still +8 in camps left. Would love to see him turn into the next Tyrone Nesby!

BIGGEST SURPRISE: PG's turnovers. Would really have loved to see those go the other direction, but him being an uncamped option was always going to result in some sloppiness.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Blowing the 5th pick to the Timberwolves in the last sim (who didn't even have their pick and were trying to win) bc Pankin forgot to supercamp Harden and then watching that #5 pick jump to 2 and become Dame Lillard while my team is missing a point guard. Rough

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Kwame! Was awesome to get one superstar over the course of a couple seasons with cap. He's overpaid but there are very few guys who are able to do what he does on defense and the glass.

REGRETS: Not reminding Pankin to submit his camps. Love you Ben

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Amare Stoudemire. Averaged 20/12 while playing out of position. But let's be honest... he didn't have a lot of competition for team MVP this year.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Another award for which there's very low competition. Were the Pacers the worst defensive team in the league last year? Probably. But since someone has to win the award, it goes to... Corey Brewer.

MOST IMPROVED: OK that's it, I refuse to give out this award. The only players on the team who were on the team the year prior were Amare, Troy Hudson, Anthony Randolph, Evan Turner, Marko Jaric, Rudy Gay, and Corey Brewer. I can't say any one of them improved.

SIXTH MAN: Reggie Jackson. Some solid minutes off the bench through the year! Cautiously optimistic he might have a future as a solid 6th man, or even a starter.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Troy Hudson retiring at the end of the year. Clearly he still had some juice, averaging 19/5 on 49% shooting on a terrible team. But retiring afer a year making $26m isn't so bad.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Evan Turner. Thought he'd step up this year with more minutes and development, and while his FG% went up, his overall line is very similar.

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Unfortunately none

REGRETS: Not trading Amare during the season. Thought he'd give a reasonable resigning offer... nope. Full max.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Metta World Peace - He was valuable for two reasons. 1) Because he was far and away our best player. and 2) because his season-ending injury improved our lottery odds.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Metta World Peace - The man is a BEAST!!! Steals. Blocks. You name it.

MOST IMPROVED: Sir Rudy Fernandez - I was disappointed in his first stead as our backup 1/2, but this year he took his game to a new level. He averaged 25/5/4 per-36 minutes and is one of the best 6th men in the league.

SIXTH MAN: Ryan Anderson - He is only functional as a backup, but was incredible as a backup 3/4/5. He must have a funny mix of ratings.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: Winning 13 of our last 17 games. We went from pick #5 to #10 in the process. Brutal.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: N/A - sims are fun!

TRADE/ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR: Charlotte 2013 1st round pick :)

REGRETS: N/A - sims are fun!
