Strengths: Good shooter with a knack for creating his own shot. Makes good decisions with the ball most of the time. Pesky defender that likes to gamble for steals. Decent positional defense. Okay strength for his position. Solid athleticism.
Weaknesses: Lacks that first step. Can get into the lanes but isn't the best finisher.
Scout's Take: Evans has the makings of a solid two-way guard, but he may not have the volume you'd expect from a starter. However, with proper defensive development, he could become a very useful fourth or fifth starter that can hit the open shot and create turnovers.
