The new GMOTY committee will go into effect this season. As such, on day 80 I will initiate a runoff of the top two options, with voting to conclude by the end of the playoffs, such that the 2025-2026 GMOTY winner will receive the reward selected in the runoff.
Let me know if any concerns with that approach. Thanks all.

I’ll likely vote for something else as opposed to status quo but I do think this reward provides a chance to think outside the box and do something fun rather than straight RP. There are so many ways to get RP and I bet 95% of gms who win the award make the playoffs and get RP from that. I like the idea of incorporating BBB shop rewards as a replacement to the current one
I guess this discussion pre-dated me, but I agree that "RP only" feels a bit inconsequential, and doesn't lean on any of the game's cool features.
My issue with the extension is more related to situational advantage, aka one GMOTY could fuel a rookie extension, another could be less impactful.
I voted for the Super-Scout idea because that's an interesting proposal, which gives someone a fun informational advantage, without giving a subjective vote the ability to hugely impact conference races.

Ah I see this is at run-off stage, in which case I'd for sure vote for Status Quo
